What a Week

Last night was monumental in The O’s world.

I don’t know where to begin. Here’s some things about last night :

Ryan Thomas Becker opened the show in perfect form. He was incredible as always and sweet as can be. Then Scott Riegel nailed it. In spite of a guitar switch, the young buck carried on like a pro. After, Binary Sunrise put on a flippin’ rock show. They totally rule beyond words. The Orbans followed with their signature greatness - smooth melodies and sonic goodness. Then, we played and it was the best show in our history; people having a good time and folks singing and screaming along. It was so much damn fun to play.

The dudes that renovated Club Dada did a remarkable job. While fighting the ghost of that place, they succeeded in creating a totally new venue while retaining just enough of the “what-was” about that place. Hands together for all those guys - Josh, Dusty, Phil, and Brian (I haven’t met him and I’ve only heard his name once - it may not be Brian... he does HAVE a name though.) That place is bad ass.

Point is, Josh early-on in the night was talking about the show and said, “Man this is gonna be huge. The vibe is just right.”

It set us at ease, because we knew he was right. The folks were there - in deep ellum - having a good time. And they - you - were there in abundance. It was such a party. super-party. parrrrrrrrttttttttttyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We hope this is a sign of where we’re headed folks. This is why we started The O’s.

Love,

Taylor and John
